Coming August 27th!

I write young adult historical and paranormal fiction. As a teen my imagination constantly roamed to distant lands and times, and now that I'm older the past is pretty much all I want to write about. I'm crazy about gothic tales of haunted people, doomed love, dark secrets and repressed passions—rest assured you'll find many of these themes in my own writing.

My latest novel, The Dark Between, is a paranormal murder mystery set in early Edwardian England. It releases from Knopf on August 27, 2013.

My YA novel, The Revenant, a Victorian ghost story set in a Cherokee girl's school in the old west, is now available from Knopf.
